The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends fees of $238 for 45-60 minute sessions. We charge considerably less than this for individuals, however, the price varies depending on which psychologist you see. If your visit to us is under NDIS, workcover, victims services, DVA, VVCS or are from another agency, this rate will vary as the rates are fixed by external organisations. Please contact us for more details.
Appointments are 50 minutes long but we ask that for your first appointment, you arrive at least 10 minutes early so that we can fill out the necessary paperwork. If you are getting an assessment or report done, the session will be longer but this also depends on what testing is being done and changes case-by-case.
Yes, our psychologists are approved for Therapeutic Services and Early Childhood Intervention through NDIS. We can provide services under the funding categories 'Improved Daily Living' and 'Early Childhood Intervention'.
No, we are not a bulk billing service. However, reduced fees can be negotiated for low income earners and concession card holders.
If you visit your GP, ask for a medicare referral under the 'better mental health care plan' to our practice. Your GP will conduct an assessment and provide you with a referral. You can then contact our office to make your appointment or use our online booking system.
The ‘better mental health care plan’ entitles you to 10 sessions with one of our clinicians per calendar year (January 1st to December 31st). It entitles you to a rebate of between $84-125 per session, depending on which clinician you visit. Please contact our office for more details.
This depends on your level of cover, what extras you have and who you are covered with. It is best to speak to your private health insurance company about what rebates you are entitled to.
Yes you can. We have a HICAPS machine on site, so if you pay by EFTPOS (savings or cheque), the rebate is put straight back into your account.
You can pay by cash or EFTPOS. If you pay by cash, you need to pay in full and take a receipt to Medicare to claim your rebate. We do not accept cheque or American Express and all consultation fees must be paid on the day of your appointment.
If you need to cancel your appointment, you must give us 24 hours notice (emergencies excluded). A $50 cancellation fee will be charged unless there are extenuating circumstances surrounding your cancellation. For NDIS clients, the cancellation fee is 90% of your usual fee. If you fail to show for a scheduled appointment with no explanation, the full fee will be payable.
